Itinerary:
Captive
Days 1 - 4:
Arrive in Denver and drive to Mission: Wolf Sanctuary in southern Colorado.
Mission: Wolf has spent nearly four decades caring for captive wolves and sharing their story through public education. For many years, co-founders Kent Weber and Tracy Ane Brooks traveled with wolves across the country on a bus tour of educational programs. These days, they welcome campers from all over the world to stay at the sanctuary for a few nights (or months..or years), learn about wolves and the sanctuary, and volunteer for the animals.
Wild
Days 5 - 9:
Drive north to Montana and lodge for four nights just outside Yellowstone National Park. Spend days in iconic Lamar Valley hoping to see wolves and other wildlife with the help of Animals Abound, a local professional guide service.
Animals Abound is led by Paul Brown, who has over 20 years of experience guiding wildlife and environmental education programs. He has been part of several research projects around Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, including the Yellowstone Wolf Project.
Travel to Bozeman on Day 11, say goodbye to your new friends, and head home to share your adventure with loved ones.

The wolf exerts a powerful influence on the human imagination.
It takes your stare and turns it back on you.
Throughout the centuries we have projected onto the wolf the qualities we most despise and fear in ourselves.
